Booking for Someone Else.
For the people whose name is never on the reservation.
- Instant Rates, No Quote Requests
- Change It Without Calling
- Receipts on Every Trip
For Assistants & Planners
Most of our work is booked by someone who isn't travelling.
Executive assistants, chiefs of staff, event and gala planners, production and casting coordinators, talent and modelling agencies, hotel concierges, family offices and corporate travel managers — the people who arrange transportation for other people.
The requirements are the same whoever you are booking for: see the rate immediately, change it without a phone call, know who is driving before the day, and have the receipt ready when finance asks.
What You Need
Four things that make this workable.
An instant rate
Not a quote request.
Enter the addresses and the rate appears before you confirm. No form, no callback the following morning, no chasing three companies for numbers.
Changes without a phone call
At whatever hour you're working.
Modify or cancel online with three hours’ notice. Flights move at eleven at night, and that is exactly when calling is least practical.
Details reach the passenger too
Not just you.
Chauffeur name and vehicle go to the traveller as well as the booker, so the question of where the car is stops arriving in your inbox.
Receipts, kept
For whenever they're asked for.
Every trip generates a printable receipt held in the account history. Expense season stops involving emails to a car company.
Who Books This Way
Eight kinds of booker.
Executive assistants
Principals and senior executives — airports, meetings, roadshows and client travel, with continuity requested where it matters.
Chiefs of staff & travel managers
Programme-level travel across a team, on one account with defined booking authority.
Event & gala planners
Arrivals in waves, vehicles staged during dinner, and departures split across hotels and airports at the end of the night.
Production & casting coordinators
Press days, shoots and media tours with a fixed list of stops and an unpredictable running order.
Talent & modelling agencies
Castings and appearances across the city in a single afternoon, where each one overruns and the next is downtown.
Hotel concierges
Booking on a guest’s behalf, with the guest’s name and number on the reservation and no account of their own required.
Family offices
Principals, family members and household staff, with arrangements kept on file rather than re-explained.
Legal & financial support teams
Closings, depositions and diligence days that run to their own clock rather than the diary’s.
Booking for a Third Party
Four things to include.
01
The passenger's name
It goes on the reservation so the chauffeur greets the right person.
02
A mobile that reaches them
Not yours. The chauffeur texts the traveller directly fifteen minutes before arrival.
03
The vehicle class
If a principal needs a specific class rather than whatever is assigned, say so when you book — short notice is the hardest time to guarantee it.
04
Anything unusual
Child seats, luggage, a pet, a specific vehicle class, or a stop that isn’t obvious from the addresses.
The Curb Problem
Solved before the day, not during it.
Everything handled at booking
The passenger just gets in the car.
Payment, vehicle, and any special requirements are settled when you reserve. Nothing is raised with the traveller on the day.
Pickup points
Agreed, not guessed.
Much of the city restricts standing. Where a building, hotel or venue has its own arrangement, we use it — and for regular travel it stays on file.
Event departures
Ordered in advance.
Everyone leaves within ten minutes. Pickup points and order are settled before the evening rather than negotiated at midnight.
Choosing a Vehicle
Book to the luggage, not the headcount.
The most common booking error, and the one that needs a second car at the curb.

Why Manhattan Black Car Service
Four things that don't change, whoever you book for.
Licensed
NYC TLC Base B03644
Manhattan Black Car Service runs under Ride Soho Inc., 230 Park Avenue, 3rd Floor. Every chauffeur holds a New York City TLC licence and is vetted before driving.
Early
Fifteen minutes early, not fifteen minutes away.
Your chauffeur is in place before the booked time, with a text fifteen minutes before arrival.
One rate
Traffic changes. Your rate doesn't.
Set at booking, with tolls and gratuity included. No increase in rush hour, in a storm or after an event.
Known in advance
You'll know who's driving, the day before.
Chauffeur name and vehicle sent 24 hours ahead, to the traveller and to whoever booked.
Questions
Booking for others, answered.
Can I book a car for someone who isn't me?
Yes. Put the passenger’s name and a mobile number that reaches them on the reservation, and the chauffeur contacts them directly. They do not need an account of their own.
Will I have to wait for a quote before I can book?
No. Enter the pickup and destination and the rate appears before you confirm. No form and no callback the following morning.
Can I move a booking at eleven at night?
Yes, online, with three hours’ notice for modifications. Calling is an option rather than a requirement, which matters when a flight moves late at night.
Will the passenger know who is collecting them?
Yes. Chauffeur name and vehicle details are sent 24 hours before pickup, to the traveller as well as to you, with a text fifteen minutes before arrival.
How do I get receipts for expenses?
Every trip generates a printable receipt, kept in the account history and searchable by traveller.
Can several people book on one account?
Yes. Assistants, coordinators and travellers can all book under one company record, with everything visible in a single history.
Can you handle several vehicles for one event?
Yes — between 50 and 200 on a single reservation, with one point of contact and pickup order agreed before the night.
What do you need for a talent or production booking?
The stops, approximate timings and who travels together. Addresses can firm up the night before — the shape of the day is enough to structure it.
Is there someone to reach outside business hours?
Yes. Reservations and dispatch operate 24 hours, which is when most changes actually happen.
