Home /First Class Sedan

First Class Sedan.

The lowest step-in in the fleet, and the highest specification.

First Class Sedan

When the arrival matters and climbing doesn't suit.

The First Class Sedan is the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW 7 Series and the fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 580, carrying three passengers and two bags.

We recommend an SUV for most journeys. This class is for the two occasions a sedan is the better car: when a passenger needs a low step-in rather than a climb, and when the vehicle itself is part of the impression. It is a limited class — seventy-two hours to a week is the recommendation.

Capacity

What it holds.

Same capacity as the Premium Sedan. The difference is the vehicle and the specification.

Why This One

Four reasons a group books one.

The lowest step-in we have

Which matters more than people expect.

For older passengers, anyone with limited mobility or a bad knee, stepping into an S-Class rather than climbing into an SUV is the difference between an easy journey and a difficult one.

The arrival is the point

Not the capacity.

A client collected in an S-Class has been considered. That is the other reason this class exists.

Rear comfort over distance

Where it earns its cost.

On a four-hour drive to Boston or Washington, the difference between this and a standard sedan is felt for the entire journey.

Electric, at the same level

The Mercedes-Benz EQS 580.

A fully electric flagship sedan, by advance request and quoted individually.

Who Books It

Six times it is the right call.

Access, or impression, or both.

Passengers who cannot climb

Older parents, limited mobility, or anyone for whom stepping up into an SUV is the hard part.

Client arrivals

Collecting someone your company is hosting, where the car is the first thing they see.

Principals and C-suite

Regular executive travel, with continuity of chauffeur requested where it matters.

Board and investor days

Roadshows and meetings where several principals move separately.

Galas and black tie

Arrival at a venue where everyone is watching the door.

Private aviation

Meeting an aircraft where the ground leg should match the flight.

When Not To

Three times to book something else.

We would rather say so at booking than at the kerb.

More than two bags

Book an SUV.

Capacity is identical to a Premium Sedan. The specification does not add trunk space.

A family with car seats

Book an SUV.

Each seat uses a passenger space, and this class holds three.

Short notice

Tell us and we'll try.

Seventy-two hours to a week is the recommendation because this class is limited. Inside that we will attempt it and tell you honestly either way.

Compare

The class either side of it.

Premium Sedan

Same capacity and the same low step-in, at standard specification.

First Class SUV

The Cadillac Escalade. Same presence, six passengers and five bags.

Premium SUV

Our default recommendation for most journeys.

Questions

First Class Sedan, answered.

How far ahead should I book this class?

Seventy-two hours to a week. It is a limited class and books out first. We will always try to accommodate a last-minute request, but we cannot guarantee one.

We tell you before the day and agree what to do — an alternative, or cancelling at no cost. We do not substitute quietly and leave you to find out at the kerb.

Specification, not capacity. Both carry three passengers and two bags, and both have the same low step-in. First Class is the S-Class, 7 Series and EQS 580.

Yes, the Mercedes-Benz EQS 580, a fully electric flagship sedan available by advance request and quoted individually.

Two reasons: a lower step-in for passengers who find climbing difficult, and the impression the vehicle makes. For everything else we would recommend an SUV.

Yes, as a preference at booking. Seventy-two hours or more is when a specific model can realistically be held.

No. Two full-size bags in both. If luggage is the constraint, book an SUV rather than a higher sedan class.

For one or two travellers, yes — rear comfort on a four-hour run is where this class earns its cost.

First Class Sedan

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and EQS 580.

The Manhattan Black Car Service First Class Sedan class comprises the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series and the fully electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 580, carrying three passengers and two full-size bags. It is booked where a low step-in suits a passenger better than climbing into an SUV, and where the vehicle is part of the impression — client arrivals, principals and C-suite travel, board and investor days, roadshows, galas and black-tie events, and private aviation ground transportation at Teterboro, Westchester County, Morristown and Republic. Seventy-two hours to one week is recommended; last-minute requests are attempted but cannot be guaranteed.
