First Class SUV
For principals, and for people who notice cars.
The First Class SUV is the Cadillac Escalade, carrying six passengers and five bags. We run more than two hundred, which makes it the most reliably available flagship vehicle in New York.
It is booked by C-suite executives, principals, high-profile passengers and anyone who appreciates a flagship car — alongside client arrivals, private aviation and events. The fully electric ESCALADE IQ and IQL sit in this class for clients with sustainability commitments.
Capacity
What it holds.
Six passengers and five bags. With fewer passengers, the third row folds, and luggage space increases considerably.

Why This One
Four reasons a group books one.
Over 200 in the fleet
Availability is rarely the problem.
Most operators hold a handful of Escalades and hope. We run more than two hundred, which is why short-notice requests in this class are usually met.
The view from the back
A higher seating position changes the journey.
You sit above the traffic rather than in it. Over an hour on the Expressway or four to Boston, it is the difference passengers notice most.
It is the car people recognise
For better or worse.
The most recognisable vehicle in American chauffeured transport, and often the reason it is requested by name.
Electric, without compromise
The ESCALADE IQ and IQL.
The same vehicle and the same presence, fully electric. By advance request and quoted individually.
Who Books It
Six times it is the right call.
Where capacity and impression both matter.
C-suite and principals
Regular executive travel, with continuity of chauffeur requested where it matters.
Client arrivals with luggage
A visiting team or a principal with checked bags, collected properly.
High-profile passengers
Where discretion and a recognisable standard both matter.
Galas, weddings and events
Arrival at a venue, with room for a group rather than splitting across cars.
Private aviation
Meeting an aircraft where the group and their luggage arrive together.
Long weekends away
The Hamptons or Connecticut, with a group and a weekend’s luggage.
When Not To
Three times to book something else.
We would rather say so at booking than at the kerb.
A passenger who cannot climb
Book a First Class Sedan.
The Escalade sits high. Where a passenger has limited mobility, the S-Class step-in is considerably kinder — tell us and we will assign one.
Seven or more passengers
Book a Sprinter.
Six is the limit. A seventh means a second vehicle or a class up.
Tight downtown streets
Ask about the pickup point.
The Escalade is large. On cobbled or one-way blocks the collection point may be a corner nearby rather than the door.

Questions
First Class SUV, answered.
How many Escalades does Manhattan Black Car Service run?
More than two hundred, which makes short-notice availability in this class considerably better than most operators can offer.
How is it different from a Premium SUV?
Capacity is identical — six passengers, five bags. The difference is the vehicle: the Escalade against the Suburban, Navigator and Yukon.
Is there an electric Escalade?
Yes, the Cadillac ESCALADE IQ and IQL, available by advance request and quoted individually. Same presence, no engine.
How far ahead should I book an Escalade?
Twenty-four hours is the recommendation, and one to two weeks for events. With over two hundred in the fleet, shorter notice is usually workable.
Can it collect from a narrow downtown street?
Sometimes not at the door. It is a large vehicle, so on cobbled or one-way blocks the pickup point may be a corner nearby.
What happens if an Escalade is not available?
We contact you in advance to agree an alternative, or cancel the reservation at no cost. We do not send something different without telling you first.
How many child seats fit?
Each seat uses one passenger space, so two seats plus two adults is four of the six before luggage.
Is this the usual wedding vehicle?
Frequently, yes — it holds the party and appears in the photographs. Larger groups move to a Sprinter.
