Home /Premium Sedan

Premium Sedan.

Low step-in, easy access — and the electric LYRIQ.

Premium Sedan

When a low step-in matters more than height.

The Premium Sedan is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, Cadillac XT6 and the fully electric Cadillac LYRIQ, carrying three passengers and two bags.

We recommend an SUV for most journeys, and a sedan where getting in and out matters more than sitting high — older passengers, anyone with limited mobility, and short city trips with light luggage where a narrow street would keep a larger vehicle away from the door.

Why This One

Three reasons to choose a sedan.

Easier to get into

No climbing.

An SUV sits high, which suits most passengers and not all of them. For older parents, anyone with limited mobility or a bad knee, a sedan’s low step-in is the kinder vehicle — and it is the reason we keep them.

It reaches more of the city

Which matters downtown.

On a cobbled SoHo block, a narrow brownstone street or a restricted Midtown kerb, a sedan collects at the door where a larger vehicle collects at the corner.

The electric LYRIQ sits here

Quiet, and entirely modern.

Available in this class by advance request, quoted individually, for clients who prefer electric.

Who Books It

Six evenings it suits.

Access, narrow streets, and light luggage.

Passengers who can't climb

Older parents, limited mobility, or anyone for whom stepping up into an SUV is the hard part.

Short trips across the city

Meetings, offices and client visits, one or two travellers with light bags.

Downtown pickups

SoHo, Tribeca and the narrow blocks where a larger vehicle waits at the corner.

Dinner and evenings

There and back, or held hourly if the night has several stops.

Station transfers

Penn Station, Grand Central and Moynihan, in both directions.

Airport runs with carry-on

A short domestic flight and a roll-aboard, where nothing larger is needed.

When Not To

Three times to book something else.

We would rather say so at booking than at the kerb.

Three checked bags

Book an SUV.

Two bags is the honest limit. A third means either a second vehicle or a class up, and it is cheaper to know that now.

A child seat and luggage

Book an SUV.

Each seat uses one passenger space, so two adults, one child seat and bags will not fit.

Most other journeys

We'd suggest an SUV.

Higher seating, considerably more room and better on a long drive. Unless access or a narrow street decides otherwise, the SUV is our recommendation.

Questions

Premium Sedan, answered.

When should I book a sedan rather than an SUV?

When a passenger finds climbing into a high vehicle difficult, or when a narrow downtown street would keep a larger vehicle away from the door. For most other journeys we recommend an SUV.

Yes, noticeably. The step-in is low and there is no climbing involved, which is the main reason we keep sedans in the fleet.

Two full-size bags, plus passengers’ personal items. A third suitcase means booking an SUV instead.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Cadillac XT6, with the fully electric Cadillac LYRIQ available by advance request.

Yes, one seat — but it uses a passenger space, so two adults and a child seat leaves very little room for luggage.

Capacity and step-in are identical. The difference is specification: First Class is the S-Class, 7 Series and EQS 580.

We contact you in advance to agree an alternative, or cancel the reservation at no cost. We do not substitute without telling you first.

Yes, on request at no additional cost. Bottled water and phone charging are in every vehicle as standard.

Premium Sedan

Low step-in, and the electric LYRIQ.

The Manhattan Black Car Service Premium Sedan class comprises the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Cadillac XT6, with the fully electric Cadillac LYRIQ available by advance request, carrying three passengers and two full-size bags. RideSoHo recommends an SUV for most journeys and a sedan where a low step-in matters more than height — older passengers, limited mobility, and narrow downtown streets in SoHo, Tribeca and brownstone Brooklyn where a larger vehicle collects at the corner. It also suits short city trips, dinner and evening bookings, station transfers and airport runs with carry-on luggage.

Straight in, no climbing,

You're Expected.
